The Toronto Section of the SMPTE is soliciting technical presentations for its upcoming BootCamp Technical Seminar. In prior years, this very successful event has drawn a large audience from the Canadian Broadcast, Film and New Media sectors with an agenda of current, relevant and interesting technical presentations. Individuals and organizations are invited to submit presentation synopses for topics of interest.
Presentation Guidelines
Presentations must be of a technical nature, and relevant to motion imaging or related technologies.
Presentations must follow the SMPTE presentation guidelines, particularly as they relate to commercial content. Please refer to: www.smptetoronto.org/presentations for details.
The seminar will be held on June 8th and 9th, 2010 at Ryerson University in Toronto. The author or a delegate who can appropriately deliver the content must be available to present. Final timeslots will be determined once the overall agenda is set. Requests for a specific day / time will be considered but not guaranteed.
Presentation timeslots will typically be 40 to 45 minutes with 10 to 15 minutes for Q&A. If your presentation requires more or less time, please clarify this in your submission.
Presentations with live demonstrations are welcome.
Remote (via the internet) presentations will be considered.
We are also soliciting ideas for Keynote Speakers and Panel Discussions, please feel free to suggest topics whether submitting a presentation proposal or not.
