Pre-Conference Seminar: The Digital Media Ecosystem** - Monday, October 25, 8:30am - 5pm
This event will give attendees a comprehensive overview of the evolving media digital ecosystem, including an explanation of the latest tools and techniques of how these technologies can be used to create an efficient media workflow in today’s environment while building a framework for systems of the future. The program will include experts in digital technologies across a wide range of disciplines—from using 3G and 4G networks for remote program return to optimizing user-generated video for broadcast. Speakers will focus on technologies and techniques that, while nontraditional in the video world, promise to improve productivity and support innovative business models, such as “over-the-top” video streaming. Bringing these technologies into the broadcast realm, speakers will examine production in multiple delivery and display environments, and as portable display devices continue to evolve, repurposing 35mm film content for small screens. Presented by industry and technology leaders, this program will provide the practical knowledge that will lay the foundation for understanding how best to take advantage of the Digital Media Ecosystem.
