DTV Transition: White Spaces and Other Issues
Description:
The "White Spaces" controversy (in which the FCC plans to allow a range of unlicensed RF devices to operate in unused TV channels) is of great concern to users of wireless mics, intercoms, IFBs and other wireless gear. The potential for interference is also a concern for DTV television broadcasaters. What is really going on, and is the problem as serious as some suggest? What other issues may be of concern to wireless users? What can wireless users expect come February 19?
Return to NAB Headquarters for a second meeting ont the DTV Transition, focusing on issues affecting both broadcasters and users of wireless equipment. Speakers will include representatives from broadcasting, equipment manufacturers and end-user organizations. IF you need to know the state of affairs, be there!
Please note: SMPTE meetings are open to all SMPTE members and to non-members. There is no charge for attendance.
