Washington DC

The weather outside was frightful on the evening of December 11, but it was delightful inside the beautifully decorated Union Station in Washington DC as the SMPTE DC Section joined together  to celebrate the Holiday Season and enjoy each others’ company.  Thirty five members, spouses and guests socialized with passed hors d’oeuvres and beverages prior to being seated in the Capitol Wine Room of the Americas Restaurant for a wonderful dinner.   The view of the Capitol Dome outside and the spectacular Christmas tree below provided a holiday atmosphere that can only be experienced in our Nation’s Capitol. 

The DC Section is most grateful to our vendors who helped offset the cost of the event and enable the Section to lower the individual admissions this year which boosted attendance.  Thank you to Harris Broadcast, Miranda, Tandberg Television, Tektronix and Utah Scientific for their support.
