Ian MacSpadden has worked three decades in local, national and international television in technology leadership roles. For over fifteen years he has been writing regularly for several professional and industry magazines. He has been an enthusiastic SMPTE supporter ever since Peter Wharton handed him the Kool-Aid cup at the first Bits by the Bay event in DC. Since then he has worked as a member of the board of editors for the SMPTE Journal and most recently joined the membership team, looking to help recruit the next generation of SMPTE fold.
