Principal Engineer MVA Broadcast Consulting Rick Ackermans is the Director of RF and Transmissions Engineering for CBS Television.  Chair Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers Studio Video over IP (ST 2110) Drafting Group.  Chair Video Services Forum - Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) Activity Group.  Rick previously was Founder and Principal Engineer of MVA Broadcast Consulting. Which provides media transport design and consulting services to television, cable, streaming and other video media providers.  Previously Senior Engineering Director at Turner Broadcasting where he oversaw transmissions design, operations and special events support for the Turner Entertainment Networks including TBS, TNT, NBA TV, Cartoon Network.  Chief Operating Engineer of WTBS-TV Ch 17 Atlanta.  While at Turner Rick worked on the transmissions design and operations for numerous live events including. Winter Olympics, Major League Baseball, NCAA March Madness, NBA,  NHL, Academy Awards (Latin America Coverage) and Screen Actors Guild Awards.  Member of the Board of Governors of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.  Member of the Board of Directors of the Video Services Forum.  Fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.  Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Technology from Bradley University.
