2010 SMPTE Student Paper Award

Deadline for the 2010 Student Paper submission is July 1. The purpose of this award is to recognize the outstanding paper prepared and submitted by a Student Member. The paper receiving the Student Paper Award will be published in the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal, giving recognition to the author and the institution at which the work was done. The Award winner will also receive a full conference registration to the 2010 SMPTE Technical Conference and Exhibition in Hollywood, CA, where they will be recognized at the Honors and Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to Patrick Waddell of Harmonic Inc., who was honored by the Advanced Television Systems Committee Inc. (ATSC) as the recipient of the Bernard J. Lechner Outstanding Contributor Award for 2010. The presentation was made during the ATSC Annual Meeting at the Pentagon City Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Thursday, May 20, 2010.

How to Renew Your Membership

1. Log in to the SMPTE website

2. Click your name in the top right of the screen and then click "My Participation"

3. Under "Tools" click "Membership"

4. Click "Manage Memberships"

5. Find your current membership in the list and under "Action" click "Renew"

You will then be able to choose the level at which you wish to renew and complete your payment online with a credit card.
