MEDIA TECH CAREER CONFERENCE
Have you considered a career in media and entertainment using your technical skills?
The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) is hosting a free day in Hollywood for interested STEAM [Science - Technology - Engineering - Arts - Math] students to learn about opportunities in the media and entertainment industry.
➔ Hear from media technology leaders on the latest challenges to creating cutting edge entertainment.
➔ Meet recent graduates and listen to their experiences working for media companies.
➔ Learn from representatives of major studios and content companies on what they are looking for in technical hiring.
➔ Sit down over lunch for one-on-one conversations with working professionals on the current career paths open to recent graduates
This is a free event for current STEAM college students and recent graduates. College student ID required for admission.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
SMPTE's Career Day is hosted at the Television Academy at the Saban Media Center, a ten minute walk from the LA Metro North Hollywood station which is serviced by the Metro Rail Red Line subway, as well as various Metro bus lines. Attendees are encouraged to take these LA Metro transportation options, or use a ridesharing service. For those who cannot do so, parking will be provided at the Saban Media Center parking lot.
