Ready to fight fire with fire against the digital-first titans competing for your audience?
Then you need to rip a page right out of their playbook: Microservices.
Microservices are the building blocks upon which the industry’s most successful digital businesses are constructed. Businesses like the formidable foursome, Facebook, Amazon, Netflix and Google (FANG), who built their businesses from scratch on the most agile and innovative technology foundation available. Born and raised in a cloud-based environment, these companies are unburdened by legacy technology or practices.
The success these companies have experienced leveraging microservices is undeniable, but how does that apply to the video-centric world and the requirements of nonlinear and live broadcast? Can microservices be leveraged for all aspects of television?
Join Microsoft, Dell and Imagine Communications on January 16 at the SMPTE-NY January 2018 Meeting for a technical exploration of microservices and real-world perspectives on how these software-based building blocks are being implemented in media applications — and enabling broadcasters to compete in a digital-first world.
What’s your plan for fighting FANG?
