Mr. Hays discussed the process occurring within the theatre industry as it moves from the analog world into the digital age. Digital conversion of the theatre industry is in its infancy, with less than 5% of the 35mm film projectors having been converted to Digital projection systems.

After the presentation in Boscov’s Auditorium, we visited the adjacent AMC Theater complex, where we looked at digitally-projected pre-show systems, a RealD digital 3D projection system, and a two-projector digital IMAX system. We also saw how standard 35mm film projection is currently done.
