DPP and UK Screen Alliance, supported by Creative Skillset, invite SMPTE members to attend a training and awareness day on mastering programmes – looking at the  many issues and requirement of broadcasters and online – and showing how these can be solved by the use of a  SMPTE specification  jointly developed by DPP  and SMPTE based
on the IMF Standard (SMPTE ST 2067)

This day-long workshop will help Heads of Production and Post Production professionals understand the impact of this new approach to programme delivery.

The shift to deliver the highest quality programming, internationally, has forced broadcasters to change their approach to commissioning and programme deliverables.
File size, regionalisation and compliance to territory specific regulation has meant that a single, high quality programme is difficult, if not impossible, to deliver.

To enable the effective international exchange of programmes the DPP & SMPTE have
developed a new mastering format for Broadcast and Online -.based on IMF SMPTE ST2067
There will also be live demonstrations of mastering tools and the opportunity to meet some of the companies developing them.

This day-long workshop will help Heads of Production and Post Production professionals understand the impact of this new approach to programme delivery.

This session is for professionals working in production, post-production, broadcasting and distribution.
It is aimed at production company senior managers, producers, production managers,
heads of production, heads of technology. post production facility owners and managers, chief engineers,
people involved in broadcasting and international distribution of TV programmes.

This event is open only to those who have had an invitation –
SMPTE members were invited in the SMPTE UK email  on 5 February
