Since entering the video side of broadcast and entertainment Dolby has worked to push technology for better pictures in both theaters and television.  Dolby Vision is Dolby's entry into the High Dynamic Range / Wide Color Gamut arena, encompassing tools for encoding HDR/WCG content from camera to viewer using the PQ metadata standard.  This presentation will discuss technical details of the Dolby Vision system, and provide a live demonstration comparing Dolby Vision content on three different viewing displays.

DIRECTIONS:

The NAB building is at the junction of N Street, 18th Street and Connecticut Avenue, just south of Dupont Circle.  There is street and garage parking on many blocks in the vicinity - check signs and meters for hours!  The closest Metro stops are Dupont Circle (Red line - two blocks) and Farragut West (Orange/Blue lines - four blocks).
