Update on White Spaces, Spectrum and Related Issues
Todd Peden, SK MacDonald (Shure Rep)
Victor Tawil, NAB Senior VP, Technology
Our last meeting on spectrum isues was way back in 2009, when DTV transition was in full force and the use of "white space" devices was in contention. Today some issues have been settled, some are still in flux, and new challenges continue to arise as the FCC pushes to squeeze more public internet bandwidth into the RF spectrum Our expert speakers will address the current state of affairs and perhaps give some clues on what to expect down the road...
The NAB building is at the junction of N Street, 18th Street and Connecticut Avenue, just south of
Dupont Circle. There is street and garage parking on many blocks in the vicinity - check signs and
meters for hours! The closest Metro stops are Dupont Circle (Red line - two blocks) and Farragut
West (Orange/Blue lines - four blocks).
