PROGRAM: EnCaption Automated Live Captioning
Closed Captioning is now required on a wide range of programs. including both conventional broadcast and internally used "broadcasts" that must comply with various ADA requirements. Creating captions for live events, meetings, and conferences is a complex process when external captioning services are used - requiring audio to be sent out, and caption data returned to the facility's caption encoders. Being able to create live captions using voice-recognition technology has been on wish lists for many years and is now beginning to mature into a viable approach. EnCaption, one such approach, will be discussed and demonstrated.
>>>REGISTER ON EVENTBRITE<<<
In an effort to better predict turnout we are going to try using Eventbrite for monthly meetings. If you expect to attend please register by 6/15. There is no obligation, and unregistered walk-ins are still welcome, but this will help us gauge room size and refreshment orders in advance.
