Reidel Mediornet

Dave Caulwell, Reidel

Reidel's Mediornet is a transport system for video, audio and related signals that also provides distributed routing, synchronization, audio processing, and other functions.  The presentation will describe how signals are distributed across multiple endpoints via single-mode fiber trunking using TDM and optical multiplexing, how bandwidth is dynamically allocated, and how distributed routing can be a good approach for modern workflows.

In an effort to better predict turnout are now using Eventbrite for monthly meetings.  If you expect to attend please register.  There is no obligation, and unregistered walk-ins are still welcome, but this will help us gauge room size and refreshment orders in advance.

The NAB building is at the junction of N Street, 18th Street and Connecticut Avenue, just south of Dupont Circle.  There is street and garage parking on many blocks in the vicinity - check signs and meters for hours!  The closest Metro stops are Dupont Circle (Red line - two blocks) and Farragut West (Orange/Blue lines - four blocks).
