Maintenance Technicians, Audiovisual and Broadcast Systems

OMNITEC Solutions (www.omnitecinc.com) is seeking qualified personnel in multiple positions providing broadcast engineering, audiovisual equipment maintenance and repair, video and television production operations, and maintenance action tracking administrative support for a large audio-visual and television production facility in Northwest Washington, DC. These are anticipated needs for new work we are currently pursuing.

We seek mid to senior expert level personnel, who can work independently and who can provide expert repair and maintenance of broadcast-quality cameras, VTRs, switchers, routers, as well as VTC equipment and conference A/V equipment. We have an additional requirement for individuals who can select emerging technology for future system enhancements, and can do preliminary design efforts for conversion to full HDTV capability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert level bench repair and maintenance of broadcast and A/V equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. This includes the use of advanced test equipment, signal analysis, and performing equipment adjustments.
2. Troubleshoot equipment and rack-mounted systems to identify the source of problems, and provide immediate repair or replacement to restore operations.
3. Manage the preventative maintenance program, ensure periodic maintenance is performed.
4. Maintain a database of maintenance and all repair actions.

Required Skills:
1. 5+ years of demonstrated ability to be capable, reliable, and trustworthy in prior relevant work assignments
2. Have a detailed knowledge of emerging broadcast, A/V and VTC technologies, and define upgrade plans for future system upgrades
3. Must have excellent attitude and be capable of performing efforts politely and professionally with senior personnel
4. Engineering degree (2 or 4 year) is highly preferred
5. must be able to pass a background investigation

1. relevant vocational and/or industrial training highly preferred
2. An active or past security clearance is also helpful as much of our other work supports federal agencies requiring cleared personnel, and potential opportunities for cross-program support exist.

Digital Signage Technician

Job Description:

OMNITEC Solutions (www.omnitecinc.com) is seeking a qualified Digital Signage Engineer/Technician experienced in the posting of information and general operations of digital signage systems. These systems are networked for content development and insertion. Personnel should be able to maintain the systems as well, and provide basic troubleshooting. These are anticipated needs for new work we are currently pursuing.

We seek mid to senior expert level personnel, who can work independently and who can provide expert operations, repair and maintenance of digital signage equipment, particularly the Omnivex line of signage equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert level operations, content design and development, and continual content insertion and system operation verification of digital signage equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. Content development includes screen and page layout, creative ideas and approaches for content display, and ensuring customer desired content is displayed for maximum audience viewing
2. Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify the source of problems, and provide immediate repair or replacement to restore operations
3. Manage the preventative maintenance program to ensure periodic maintenance is performed. Maintain a database of maintenance and all repair actions.

Required Skills:
1. 5+ years of demonstrated ability to be capable, reliable, and trustworthy in prior relevant work assignments, including a detailed knowledge of emerging digital signage technologies, and the ability to define plans for future system upgrades
2. Must have an excellent attitude and be capable of performing efforts politely and professionally with senior personnel and all other team members and client personnel
3. High school diploma or GED is required, with a 2 or 4 year technical degree highly preferred
4. must pass a background investigation/MBI

VTC / Video Teleconference Engineers or Technicians

Job Description:

OMNITEC Solutions (http://www.omnitecinc.com) is seeking qualified personnel in multiple positions providing video teleconferencing system support for a large audio-visual and television production facility in Northwest Washington, DC. These are anticipated needs for new work we are currently pursuing.

We seek mid to senior expert level personnel, who can work independently and who can provide direct customer support in meeting environments to setup and operate video teleconferencing equipment. Personnel experienced with the management of video teleconferencing bridges and connections/communications are also sought.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert level VTC equipment operations throughout a variety of conference and meeting rooms
2. Establish connections and complete operation prior to meeting start time, and ensure equipment is functional during the meeting
3. Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify the source of problems, and provide immediate repair or replacement to restore operations
4. Manage VTC bridge operations to include scheduling of conferences and establishing connections.

Required Skills:
1. 5+ years of demonstrated ability to be capable, reliable, and trustworthy in prior relevant work assignments, with particular emphasis on detailed knowledge of emerging VTC technologies
2. demonstrable record of leading and/or contributing to the research, analysis, and design of plans for future system upgrades
3. Must have excellent professional demeanor and attitude, and be capable of performing efforts politely and professionally with all levels of coworkers and client staff, up to and including senior and Executive personnel
4. A minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required, with a 2 or 4 year Engineering degree highly preferred.

Audio-Visual Systems & Broadcast Engineer

Job Description:

OMNITEC Solutions (www.omnitecinc.com) is seeking qualified personnel to provide broadcast and audio/visual engineering, equipment maintenance and repair, and maintenance action tracking support for a large audio-visual and television production facility in Washington, DC. These are anticipated needs for new work we are currently pursuing.

We seek a senior engineer who can work independently and oversee the design and implementation of various concurrent audio/visual system and broadcast engineering projects, to include video teleconferencing systems. These projects include upgrading facilities and equipment on a continuing basis to improve current operations.

Also responsible for maintaining the current infrastructure with periodic and scheduled maintenance of audio/visual and broadcasting equipment. Each of these projects must be individually scheduled and planned with manpower and equipment estimates. The individual will then manage each installation while maintaining full facility operations.

The effort also includes providing expert troubleshooting and maintenance of broadcast-quality cameras, projectors, switchers, routers, audio consoles, webcasting equipment, VTC equipment and camera robotics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage simultaneous engineering projects within a facility and be responsible for all cost, schedule and technical aspects of each project
2. Implement the latest proven emerging technologies in audio/visual and broadcast systems
3. Develop engineering drawings, determining signal flow, defining interfaces, selecting equipment and ensuring systems meet desired functionality.
4. Manage the manpower and scheduling of system upgrades and installation operations
5. Troubleshoot equipment and rack-mounted systems to identify the source of problems, and provide immediate repair or replacement to restore operations. This includes the use of advanced test equipment, signal analysis, and performing equipment adjustments
6. Manage the preventative maintenance program, ensure periodic maintenance is performed. Maintain a database of maintenance and all repair actions,

Required Skills:
1. Engineering degree preferred. Advanced technical training is highly desired
2. 10+ years of demonstrated ability to be capable, reliable, and trustworthy in prior relevant work assignments
3. Must be current with new technology and be capable of selecting emerging technology for future system enhancements, and for conversion to full HDTV capability
4. Must have an excellent professional demeanor and be capable of performing efforts politely and professionally with all personnel levels of coworkers, vendors, and client staff
