There are a growing number of multifunction digital display interface options available on today's professional acquisition and playback equipment. Intel and AMD will end support of LVDS (analog) after 2012, so notebook computers and 'prosumer' peripherals found in edit and post suites will need to utilize these interfaces exclusively. It is, therefore, important to understand how each interface works, the potential issues that might arise when switching and distributing these signals, and how can these issues be addressed.
