    IEEE BTS PULSE 2021

Be part of a collaborative working group actively driving the advancement of technology in the industry, hear the latest news from industry experts and ask the burning questions.

This three-day virtual event will host top industry experts covering technologies that are currently inspiring and propelling new solutions. https://bts.ieee.org/pulse/technical-program.html
Come hear the answers to these questions, your questions and more…

Can you setup your transmitter network supporting SFN?
Do you know the challenges that must be overcome?
Day 1 focuses on ATSC 3 Single Frequency Networks and Network Virtualisation. SFN, one of
the most innovative features in NextGen TV, its implementation and how Network Virtualisation
can be used in a broadcast transmitter network deploying SFN will be presented and discussed.

Do you know how well your transmitters are preforming by using thermal imaging and drones?
Day 2 spotlights the high power high tower transmitters and how to measure their performance
    characteristics.
Two important tools will be discussed; first is the Infrared Thermal Imaging, which
has become an important mechanism for troubleshooting transmitter problems. The second is
drone technology which provides a cost efficient solution for measuring the transmit EIRP in three
    dimensions around a transmitter.

Do you know how 5G can help your content production?
Want to know how to bring down production costs and increase the operational efficiency
    of production workflows?
Day 3 emphasises the relevance of 5G for TV broadcast. 5G technology is not only a game
changer when it comes to content production but is also the enabler for the “wireless studio”. The
session will cover use cases and will end with a panel discussion where the renowned expert
speakers will share their opinions and experiences.

Similar to the IEEE Broadcast Symposium and our other industry offering, this virtual event will
continue to provide attendees the opportunity to earn multiple Continuing Education Credits or
Professional Development Hours. When registering for the technical sessions you will have the
option to purchase CEUs or PDHs.
