INSIGHTS
Light in the real world around us appears in a multitude of intensities and wavelength combinations. The human visual system (HVS) has evolved to sense and interpret this subset of the electromagnetic spectrum we call light to create the appearance of the real world with a wide palette of colors and large contrasts between light and dark.
In this presentation, we will discuss key display capabilities and trends, such as dynamic range and screen reflectance (from anorexic mirrors to curvy moth eyes), ambient light effects on displays in transition as well as on viewers, providing ways of creating better pixels.
