Stan_Cossette_wc_2018Stan Cossette is currently a senior Staff Engineer at Dolby Laboratories and has spent his entire career working on audio. He started his career working as a design engineer for company that made PA equipment and instrument amplifiers. He then began his long stint at Dolby where has worked on a variety of professional products for studio recording and cinema sound reproduction. He also developed the Dolby S-Type noise reduction system, used on consumer formats such as audio cassette and multitrack reel-to-reel.  For the last decade he has been working on standards and products for packaging and delivering content to Digital Cinema and was one of small group that defined the MXF Interop Format. He has served several SMPTE drafting groups as Chair and Editor.
