Welcome to the SMPTE Sum-Up, the weekly publication that details the recent and current events of your favorite standards development organization. Recently at SMPTE:

SMPTE Education is seeking qualified members to participate in working group designed to enhance SMPTE's educational offerings. Those interested in participating in the group require the following qualifications:

  • Experience in education design: Skilled in developing structured, effective learning programs for professionals.
  • Experience teaching adults (andragogy): Understanding of adult learning principles and effective methods for professional audiences.
  • Professional practice in M&E industry: Active or recent practitioner in media & entertainment technologies (e.g., systems builder, designer, engineer).
  • Ability to segment and define knowledge areas: Capable of analyzing and organizing technical domains relevant to M&E professionals.
  • SMPTE membership: Must be a current member of SMPTE.

Those interested should email proof of qualifications to education@smpte.org with the subject Education Curriculum Building Working Group.
