SMPTE UK hosted the Young Innovators event at Sky’s Osterley campus! This event was geared toward the southern portion of SMPTE, and featured student presentations, networking events, and fireside chats aimed at launching early careers. The SMPTE NY and SBE #15 NY ATSC 3.0 meeting live from WPIX TV will take place in New York City, in person or stream February 19. The welcome drinks will begin at 5:30, and presentations will begin at 6:30. Merrick Ackermans will offer his perspective on the US ATSC 3.0 rollout, Josh Gordon will present an ATSC 3.0 sustainability study that makes the case for the standard as an efficiency multiplier, and Ana Eliza Faria e Silva Eliza will describe ATSC 3.0 innovations in Brazil’s TV 3.0 system which could one day come to the US.
