Justin Cathcart, Dark Slope's Head of Virtual Production, lead the tour, discussing the hardware and software that goes into virtual production studios. The tour encompassed the entire 35,000 sq. ft. facility, including its two 12,000+ sq. ft. sound stages and comprehensive support spaces.

SMPTE New York held its annual winter party this week! This networking event is always a smash hit and is attended by early career professionals and the C-Suite alike. Full of food, fun, and drinks, it’s a wonderfully exciting way to kick off the year.

SMPTE Sacramento held a meeting on AI in media production. Citing the SMPTE Engineering Report on the subject, the presentation discussed ethical ways to use AI, as well as how to incorporate it into production workflows.
