First Quarter

January

• 4th Quarter Financial Report due in to HQ by Jan 15

February
Section Nominating Committee to submit:

• Slate of candidates for Section Election and Governor nominations to Board of Managers for approval (Due 2nd Monday in February

• Approved Slate of candidates for Section and Governor elections with Candidate forms and photos to HQ (Due last Monday in February)

March

• Submit Fellow Nomination Forms to HQ
• Submit Nominees for Citation for Outstanding Service to HQ
• Section Elections begin on the third Monday of March

Second Quarter

April

• Section Elections close on the last Monday of April
• 1st Quarter Financial Report due in to HQ by April 15

May

• SMPTE Election Integrity Committee verifies Section Election results
• Sections are notified of election results

June

• Award Winners & new Fellows approved and notified

Third Quarter

July

• New Section Officers take office -July 1 - June 30
• New Section Managers take office -July 1-June 30
• 2nd Quarter Financial Report due in to HQ by July 15

August

• Society Elections for Officers and Governors begin on the third Monday of August

September

• Section Budget for the next year due in to HQ
• Society Elections for Officers and Governors close on the third Monday of September
• SMPTE Election Integrity Committee verifies Society Election results

Fourth Quarter

October

• Section Budget APPROVAL
• 3rd Quarter Financial Report due in to HQ by October 15
• SMPTE Annual Tech Conference & Expo

November

Form a Section Nominating Committee for:

• Governor nominations for Society Elections - Due February
• Section Election nominations- Due February

December

Section Officers to select candidates for:

• Fellow nominations - Due March
• Citation of Outstanding Service to the Society- Due March
