    Join the SMPTE Florida Section meeting on Thursday, July 22, when Francis Crossman, Adobe Premiere Pro Sr. Product Manager, shows how to take advantage of color management tools in both Premiere Pro and After Effects.

    The presentation demo will feature:

    • Color management in PPro
    • Codec recommendations for HDR production (ProRes MOV or XAVC Intra MXF)
    • Color space overrides (good for correcting improper color space tagging)
    • Color space transformations using a LUT
    • The difference between trilinear and tetrahedral LUT interpolation
    • Graphics white settings (BBC vrs NHK recommendations)
    • Display color management (and when it makes sense to turn it off)
    • Proper monitoring using external transmit hardware (AJA / BMD)
    • Proper monitoring using GPU-connected HDR monitors (Apple extended dynamic range monitoring & the XDR monitor / Direct X on Windows)
    • Exporting properly tagged HDR content from PPro and Adobe Media Encoder
