    Presenters:

    Clarence Hau is SVP, Standards, Policy & Advanced Engineering at NBCUniversal, where he oversees technology policy, industry standards activities and the advanced engineering labs. Since joining NBCU in 2005, he has held various technology and operations positions in support of News, Sports, Entertainment productions and linear channel and VOD distribution. Hau has led major initiatives for NBCU including the 2009 DTV Transition, TV Everywhere/OTT buildout and recent efforts driving their Ultra-HD and Next Gen TV strategy and roadmap. Before joining NBCU, he held hardware design and product management positions for Panasonic and Pinnacle Systems.     Grant McGilvray is the Engineering Architect for the NBCUniversal Distribution Engineering group. The DE team is responsible for source contribution, master control, and all types of linear distribution across NBC’s broadcast and cable portfolio. He is based out of NBC’s Dry Creek facility in Denver, Colorado, where he spearheaded the migration of NBC & Telemundo origination from their historic home in New York’s 30 Rock building. His current initiatives include the construction of a nationwide 100Gb video backbone, a nationwide refresh of NBC’s Skypath network distribution ecosystem, and the recent Tokyo Olympics UHD workflow. Prior to joining NBC, Grant was the chief engineer at the local regional sport network in Denver and hasn’t really enjoyed a baseball game ever since.
