The SMPTE Hong Kong Section was invited to join the Opening Ceremony of the HKDI Virtual Production Studio. During the event, HKDI announced they will set up the Hong Kong’s largest virtual production training center in Shaw Studios, one of the biggest and most comprehensive film facilities in Hong Kong and a groundbreaking collaboration with industry leaders including ARRI, Disguise and Samsung. It offers cutting-edge training aligned with industry needs to nurture international talent and promote the development of cultural and artistic endeavors, both locally and internationally. Students, teachers, and industry professionals can collaborate to blend virtual and real scenes using the venue, technology, and equipment support, fostering opportunities for experimentation.
