    Philadelphia Section

    Welcome to the SMPTE Philadelphia Section

    The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) was founded in 1916 to advance theory and development in the motion imaging field. Today, SMPTE serves its members with the latest technology information and education in a rapidly changing industry. SMPTE is also an accredited and globally-respected industry standards-setting body.

    The Philadelphia Section serves SMPTE members in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. Our monthly meetings feature technology presentations by experts in their field and the opportunity to tour state-of-the-art facilities.

    How has the Stadium production workflow drastically change in 2020. With the pandemic of COVID 19 Broadcasters, Networks, News and in Stadium Entertainment found new ways to produce content or entertainment. All of us had to be creative in new workflows with remote monitoring, control and changes to the production.
