Colin Brown, Senior Director, D2C Technology at Evertz Microsystems

Leading content providers are now using, OTT edge-rendered graphics to engage audiences and create new revenue streams by adding interactive experiences for streaming content. Evertz will highlight the engagement and monetization potential of interactive graphics overlay platform already gaining strong support among top sports leagues and their streaming partners in basketball, ice hockey, baseball and football. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) gives live sports, live events and broadcast customers all the tools they need to create, build and distribute overlays to millions of end users on multiple platforms in real time.

Colin Brown comes with over 25 years of experience in the broadcast industry. Starting as a software engineer, he has worked in various technical and leadership roles across broadcast technologies and systems. These include production engineer, monitor and control, big data, and now direct-to-consumer solutions. As part of his current role, Colin overseas technical and production operations for the Ease Live fan engagement platform. Through this platform, he has played a lead role in working with broadcasters to launch and grow interactive audience services to their OTT platforms and apps. He has gained valuable insight into what fans are looking for in an interactive solution, best practices and design, and the revenue value to broadcasters.
