A Tale of Three Formats - Larry Thorpe, Canon USA

 
Larry Thorpe from Canon will look at three digital image formats that are presently in broad use worldwide.  The 2/3-inch format has lasted more than forty years and is central to the emerging 4K UHD broadcast television era.  The Super 35mm format transitioned from decades of motion picture film origination to form the core of the new digital cinematography age, and is now flanked by the larger full frame format that also continues as the foundation of high end still photography.

 

Canon Camera and Lens Demo

 
Canon reps will be on campus demonstrating the C200 and C300 cameras along with several different lenses.  Students, faculty, and staff will be able to get their hands on these Canon cameras and try out different lens options.
