Chris Johns | UK Region Governor, 2023-2024
Chris is the Chief Engineer for Broadcast Strategy at Sky. He is a SMPTE Fellow and Honorary Fellow of the BKSTS. Chris has worked at Sky for over 30 years and has been central to Sky’s technology development through the transitions to digital, HD and UHD as well as the evolution of audio from Stereo to Immersive. He sits and represents Sky in many industry bodies and on standards groups and was the SMPTE UK section Chair from its UK relaunch in 2012, until 2016.
