Raymond Yeung| 2023 Membership Director
Raymond Yeung is the Head of Tech Standards at the Amazon Studios. He received a PhD in physics from UCLA in 1987. He has spent three decades in the field of entertainment technology after working on high-performance computing, with a specialization in large-scale simulation. He started in digital imaging with Eastman Kodak’s digital film center, Cinesite, followed by several leadership roles in research and development of VXF technology. Raymond has been actively involved in developing digital mastering technology for feature film and television over the past 15 years — from digital intermediates to theatrical and home distribution. He joined Dolby Laboratories in 2012 to focus on the creation and distribution of HDR content. In 2021, he joined Amazon Studios Technology to lead color science, HDR imaging, and media packaging workflow. Raymond is a SMPTE Fellow and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.
