Roy George

RoyGeorge

Roy George is Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer and Information Science at Clark Atlanta University.  He received his Ph.D. in 1992 from Tulane University in Computer Science, and a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kerala University.  Dr. George’s interests include data analytics, database systems, computer security, and knowledge based systems.  He has published extensively in Computer Science and application areas, with his work appearing in journals such as IEEE Transactions, Information Systems, Pattern Recognition Letters, etc., and is the author of a book on Data Modeling.  He has led several Academic Centers of Excellence (CoE) in Research and Training and his work has been funded by government agencies that include NSF, USArmy, USAF, ODNI, DoE, and the Intelligence Community; and private corporations Google, Intel, Ford, Boeing, etc. Dr. George was recognized as an Atlanta Top Technology Leader in 2015 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
