Steve LLamb | 2025 Standards Director

Steve LLamb is currently the VP, Technology Standards & Solutions, Cinema Worldwide at Deluxe. During his time at both Deluxe and Technicolor, he has been heavily involved in the development and rollout of concepts, workflows, and standards for both DCinema and IMF mastering, packaging, exhibition, distribution, and key management. He managed the global alignment all Deluxe’s processes for DCinema delivery, including architecting and launching their globally used proprietary Mastering and Packaging toolset, CIPHER. He serves as a top-level SME for both Deluxe’s internal teams and global Studio clients, as well as within various industry standards organizations and technology committees, such as SMPTE, ISDCF (as both the Inter-Society Board President and member), EDCF (as both a member and Board member), and the IMFUG.

Within standards organizations he currently holds the positions of SMPTE Standards Director, Chair of the SMPTE Liaisons Committee, Chair of SMPTE Technical Committee 27C (Cinema), Chair of the Document Maintenance Working Group in 27C, and Convenor of ISO TC-36/WG 1 (Cinematography, Production Technology). He is also a past Chair of SMPTE Technical Committee 21DC (Digital Cinema).

His prior experience was in multiple areas of Post Production and Media, such as Film & Audio Editing, Image Processing & Compression, VFX, Audio Recording & Mixing, Multimedia, and Web & Graphic Design. Having always been obsessed with rapid evolving technology, photography, and travel, he also holds a degree in Computer Animation.
