Virginie Drugeon has received her engineering degree from the ENST (École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications) in Paris, France, in 2006. She has been working since 2007 as an engineer for Panasonic Europe in Germany in the area of video coding and transmission. She has participated to JCT-VC (Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding) and JVET (Joint Video Experts Team) for the standardization of the video coding standards HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) and VVC (Versatile Video Coding), as well as to DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) for the standardization of 3DTV (3D Television) and UHDTV (Ultra High Definition Television) broadcast, including High Dynamic Range and High Frame Rate. She is currently the chair of the DVB TM-AVC subgroup (Digital Video Broadcasting Technical Module subgroup on Audio/Video Coding).
