WHO DOES THE BEST CAPTIONING ?

ABSTRACT:

The need for captioned content is growing due to the increase in distribution channels.

Content captioned for broadcast needs different captions for OTT and cable distribution channels. Within OTT, multiple caption formats are used depending on the distribution platform. Adding captions to content can be time consuming and costly as multiple steps

are required for each form of captioning. For example, captions need to be created, possibly edited and QCed, and then saved in the proper format(s). Then captions must be associated with video, properly packaged, and delivered.

Telestream will review the end-to-end caption process, from creation to delivery.

Bob Barnshaw will present how this can be an attended or automated process, depending on the audio quality. Specifically, Bob will present how captions can now be created with their

on-premise captioning application, Stanza, and how Stanza can be manually or automatically utilized.
