Chicago Section March Webinar

Exploring Standards Based Approaches to AV over IP while Hybridizing AV and Production

Description

The Evertz team will explore how AV over IP requires true open standards to fully take advantage of centralized workflows and pooled resources. Evertz technologies focus on providing solutions capable of running high end productions with the same technology as standard conference rooms, training spaces and MPR’s. Evertz will be discussing how they intend to use IPMX as the backbone for these hybrid systems and why they have implemented purpose built Evertz switches to solve inherent problems with live events incompressed environments. Evertz will also touch on where and when using standard network infrastructures makes more sense.

Presented by Omar and Kelly from Evertz:

Omar has been a part of the #Evertz [instagram.com] family since 2006. As a self-professed “nerd,” Omar loves everything to do with electronics and is especially excited about all the new tech coming out to support #eSports [instagram.com]. Inspired by @richardbaranson[instagram.com]’s approach to problem solving, Omar brings that same ingenuity and enthusiasm to his work every day. “One of the things that makes me proud to be part of the Evertz/EvertzAV team is how we are always pushing ourselves to be at the cutting edge of audio and video technology, while making products that meet our clients' needs,” Omar says. “It’s a non-stop journey.”

Kelly has been part of the Evertz AV family since its inception, starting with the product development and support team and eventually  applying his experience and insight in an account management and business development role. Kelly finds excitement in exploring new applications for video routing technology. The weirder the requirements the more creative Kelly gets to be.
