Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering at Brigham Young University

The Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering at BYU has more than 3400 students and offers degrees in 11 different disciplines.   The SMPTE meetings will be held in the Engineering Building (EB).  This building opened in September 2018 and was, at the time of construction, the most expensive building constructed on the BYU campus, costing $85M dollars, all of which was raised by private donations. Our meetings will be held in the Event Space of the Engineering Building. The Event Space is a 3000 ft2 (280 m2) glass-walled room located to your left as you enter the Engineering Building through the main entrance. The main entrance is located on the west side of the Engineering Building.

Brigham Young University is one the largest private universities in the United States and has students from all 50 states and 104 countries. BYU has the largest undergraduate enrollment of any private university in the United States. 32% of the enrolled students come from Utah, 10% from California, 5% each from Texas, Arizona, and Idaho. The top three foreign countries sending students to BYU are Canada, South Korea, and China.

The enrollment at the BYU campus in Provo is about 33,600 students. BYU has three remote study centers: Salt Lake City, London, and Jerusalem. In addition, there are three other schools in the BYU system: BYU-Idaho (25,300 students), BYU-Hawaii (3,000 students), and BYU-Pathway (an online school that in 2020 had an enrollment of 50,000 students in 150 countries).
