Video over IP – NDI and SMPTE ST-2110 NDI and SMPTE ST-2110 represent two unique approaches to video over IP for on-premise infrastructure and video over WAN/cloud. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. This presentation will take a brief look at each of these technologies and will discuss where they may each be best deployed. About our speakers: John Shike is an Account Manager for ASG (Advanced Systems Group). He has been involved in the sales and marketing of SMPTE ST-2110 since its introduction in 2017. More recently he has also been involved in the sales, design, and deployment of NDI-based systems. Sam Craig is VP Cloud Engineering of ASG. Having been responsible for SMPTE ST-2110 deployments at his previous companies, SAM and Grass Valley, most recently he was part of the design team for the PAC-12 SMPTE ST-2110 based facility in San Ramon, CA. As VP of Cloud Engineering, he is responsible for the architecture of ASG’s Virtual Production Control Room. Non-members and guests are welcome to attend. Sam Craig is VP Cloud Engineering of ASG. Having been responsible for SMPTE ST-2110 deployments at his previous companies, SAM and Grass Valley, most recently he was part of the design team for the PAC-12 SMPTE ST-2110 based facility in San Ramon, CA.
