The challenges of the last couple of years have proven that live production originating from outside of the studio is more important than ever. New tools have enhanced field acquisition of video and audio such as the HEVC codec and 5G cellular services to support such acquisition outside the studio, but allow production to remain inside the studio as well as Cloud based production tools. Ethernet and Cellular transport have become more than just vehicles as the cloud has become a virtual machine room in its own right. And it’s not just a one-way street as bi-directional video support is increasingly a requirement. LiveU’s Scott Sheehan and Cuong Thi will touch on these topics along with a brief demonstration of what’s coming in 2022.

Scott Sheehan is the Partner Account Manager working with the channel to support LiveU’s traditional broadcast and sports production base as it has expanded into corporate video, live events, public access, educational and other market segments. Sheehan has a history of business development and channel management at major broadcast manufacturers including Avid and Grass Valley.

Coung Thi is a sales engineer at LiveU, handling system configuration designs, technical and operational support for LiveU hardware, software, and cloud solutions. Prior to LiveU Thi held technical roles at broadcast and IT companies including Orad (now part of Avid), and Sundance Digital.
