SMPTE Texas Section FIRST meeting back! Topic: Media & Entertainment on the Cloud

Description

Please join us and your fellow SMPTE members for our welcome back to SMPTE Texas Section meeting.  We will present the team that helped pull us back together, discuss future direction and take feedback on the types of content you would like to hear about month to month. 

Our first meeting will be November 2nd from 5:00pm-6:30pm.

Thomas Edwards from Amazon Web Services will join us to discuss Media & Entertainment on the Cloud which is a generalized introduction to M&E workloads on the cloud, along with some specific examples in content production, media supply chain, broadcast, direct-to-consumer streaming, and AI/ML.  He will also touch on sustainability of M&E workloads in the cloud.

Our current plan is to stay virtual through the remainder of the year and the introduce in person meetings in 2023 with areas that have strong enough participation.
