Video capabilities enabled by remotely operated video cameras, networked video interfaces, cloud processing tools, and remote site links have transformed live event production. SMPTE standards, such as ST 2110, help enable this new functionality, but cloud processing and other technologies such as NDI have important roles in practical systems as well. Jake Fineman, Product Specialist at BirdDog (birddog.tv) will give an overview of hybridized video production using NDI, with live a demo. John Shike, Account Manager, ASG, will briefly compare NDI and SMPTE ST 2110 and how both can be used in video production systems.
