The Current State of AI in Media Accessibility and Localisation

When creating media content, it is essential to think about the viewers. But not just a very narrow set of viewers, meaning the normative viewers of the territory where the content has been created. In the globalization era, content travels everywhere, and we are all diverse, with different preferences and different needs.

Description

When creating media content, it is essential to think about the viewers. But not just a very narrow set of viewers, meaning the normative viewers of the territory where the content has been created. In the globalization era, content travels everywhere, and we are all diverse, with different preferences and different needs. Considering accessibility and localisation from an early stage of the content production pipeline instead of tackling it as an afterthought will ensure that implementation is smoother, faster, and more efficient. In this session, we will introduce different access and localisation services and will explore best practices for designing workflows that combine human expertise and technology in an efficient and risk-free way. We will discuss how AI can be leveraged to augment content reach and offer customized experiences without compromising the quality of experience for viewers.
