PTP Testing...What and How to Monitor

If you have ever worked with NMOS, you know that AMWA’s Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS) make it possible to control IP networks in much the same way you’re used to in SDI, such as router control panels and keeping track of video sources and receivers in the network.

PTP TESTING… WHAT AND HOW TO MONITOR

If you have ever worked with NMOS, you know that AMWA’s Networked Media Open Specifications (NMOS) make it possible to control IP networks in much the same way you’re used to in SDI, such as router control panels and keeping track of video sources and receivers in the network. That said, you have also likely faced some of the challenges that can come up with SDP files within NMOS, such as getting all the receivers and transmitters to register themselves into the registry server, and making that data available to the external control system so you can use your existing panels and equipment.

THESE ISSUES WILL BE COVERED IN DEPTH

Why you need NMOS and how you can apply it within your workflows.

How to spot and prevent common NMOS/SDP problems.

The fundamentals of NMOS and beyond.

Which analysis tools from Leader and PHABRIX will help you in monitoring NMOS in both ST 2110 and hybrid setups.

NMOS troubleshooting… what you need when it comes to error reporting.
