Ethics and Regulation in AI

Ethics and Regulation in AI

Ethics and Regulation in AI

Description

AI continues to dominate both the reality, imagination and in some cases the anxieties of our industry. A great deal of the anxiety is rooted in the uncertainty of how these technological advances can negatively effect this industry.

During this SMPTE Technology Webcast, Renard Jenkins, SMPTE President, will continue the conversation with the co-lead of the SMPTE AI Document Fred Walls and USC’s Entertainment Technology Center's Yves Bergquist. Together, they will unpack why ethical sourcing, responsible AI, content authentication and other concerns related to the use of AI were important enough to include in a technology document.

As we stated before, the industry needs in-depth analysis and unbiased research in regard to all aspects of the development and adoption of AI across the ecosystem. We will seek to provide that type of analysis during this conversation while keeping time to market expectations, performance constraints, ethics, and security concerns in mind.

Join us as we delve into the aforementioned topics and give you a sneak peek into SMPTE’s next episode of this AI Webinar series that will explore the standards development process and status of this technology.
