UPCOMING SMPTE NEW ENGLAND ZOOM MEETING, DECEMBER 16  MUSIC SCORING FOR GAMES

The upcoming New England SMPTE meeting will be by ZOOM.

This will be a most unusual and special event with guest MacLaine Diemer, a distinguished Composer and Artist who specializes in the creation of Orchestral Music for Film, Television, and the now-popular cultural experience of VIDEO GAMES.

The attached PDF provides more specific details and a biography, but the benefit of this meeting and our ability to hear MacLaine’s story of the efforts that are employed to insure the highest possible quality of sound is provided for the released products in the Motion Picture, Television and Gaming communities.

For over 100 years, SMPTE has led the way in standards for Imaging Quality and related technical tools from Sprocket Hole specifications, Time Code and the current myriad of Analog-to-Digital migrations, and now video and data over IP.

This evening visit with MacLaine Diemer will illustrate how all those technical tools are leveraged to create new art forms of music and sounds that accompany and enhance the digital imaging.
