SMPTE Stories

Shofela Coker

Shof is a Nigerian illustrator and director. In the past, he has worked as an art director and character designer for several studios. He co-created and illustrated New Masters, an Africanfuturist graphic novel in 2022. His animated works include such projects as the animated documentary, Liyana and the Disney+ short film, Moremi. Shof’s primary influence comes from a love of Yoruba mythology, sculpture, and the printmaking craft of Southwestern Nigeria.
