OSA/SMPTE Media Microservices Summit
Media Microservices Summit
Description
Please plan on joining us for our next Media Microservices Summit, hosted by the Open Services Alliance and SMPTE, to be conducted at Disney/ABC in New York on January 10-11, 2023.
The mission of the OSA is to provide solutions to real-world interoperability challenges in the media microservices area. It is focused on developing solutions rapidly and leveraging SMPTE’s new Public Committee Draft (PCD) process to get these solutions published and available to the industry as quickly as possible.
Past summits have been very successful gatherings of industry leaders in the area of media microservices interoperability. OSA and SMPTE have already successfully published Public Committee Drafts in the areas of IMF Registration API (SMPTE ST2125) and Status Reporting & Logging (SMPTE ST2126).
Currently in progress in SMPTE are OSA-originated projects on Terminology (SMPTE ST2132) and Job Processing Architecture (SMPTE ST2133).
January’s Summit will focus on the continuing work of the Security Working Group, the launch of the new Catena initiative (standardized device control) and launch of an exciting new initiative around a Global Service Repository. We will also discuss a potential new project focused on best practices for live stream distribution and get updates on the ongoing Terminology and Job Processing Architecture projects.
