Media companies today use cloud processing to transform, optimize, and validate vast amounts of content. Join Dolby’s David Trescot as he teaches you how to scale your media workflows in the cloud and deliver optimized content for every device. Companies like Sony Pictures, HBO, and Showtime use Dolby’s cloud media processing to deliver the world’s most compelling movies and television. David will cover such topics as scalable processing, quality control, and content-aware encoding. He will also discuss the role SMPTE standards play in enabling interoperability of cloud media. Don’t miss this chance to see a live demo and ask your questions about the cloud!

David Trescot is the Sr. Director for Enterprise Encoding at Dolby Laboratories. Prior to joining Dolby, David was the CEO of Hybrik, which was acquired by Dolby in 2018. David was also previously the CEO of another transcoding company called Rhozet (makers of Carbon Coder), which was acquired by Harmonic, Inc. David holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. When he is not working on transcoding problems, he likes to shoot large animals (with a camera) while scuba diving.
