SMPTE unveils... the BIGGEST Virtual Production Show Ever!

Join us as we showcase a mix of theatrical cinematic performances, driven by a menagerie of creative technologies within Virtual Production.

Open to professionals, technicians, production and crew alike, this showcase in honor of the SMPTE RIS-OSVP, on-set virtual production initiative, demonstrates the latest technological features within virtual production in an immersive production setting at the renowned XR Studios, Los Angeles.

SMPTE will walk you through a series of environments and supporting acts performed by LA alumni students of the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts, that will highlight useful applications and effects to enhance your production and how to capture realism on-set. Expect a colorful display of dramatic and movement scenes.

Throughout the showcase we’ll be touching on: on-set actor performance, lighting effects, camera tracking, SMPTE 2110, color calibration, extended bit depth, and Unreal Engine 5.
