      Paul Stechly

      Paul Stechly | Finance Vice President, 2021

      Paul Stechly graduated from the University of Waterloo and completed post graduate work at the University of Western Ontario. Paul joined Applied Electronics Limited in 1983, and as the President and an owner of the company since 1998, he manages and oversees the national business operations of six offices located across Canada and 135 full time employees. Paul has been extensively involved in SMPTE for over 10 years and is a SMPTE Fellow. His involvement in SMPTE started with eight years on the local Section Board as Section Secretary Treasurer and Section Chair, 10 years on the SMPTE Board itself as Past Chair and Canadian Regional Governor, as well as six years on the Executive Committee as Membership Vice President and Finance Vice President. The 2021-22 term will be Paul’s second term serving as Finance VP. He is in his 37th year of his career in the broadcast and media industry.
